Duranta Erecta (formerly repens) - Geisha Girl
Geisha Girl originating from Japan, is a stunning deep blue form of Duranta repens. The delicately perfumed, deep blue flowers are beautifully complimented by white centres and wavy borders of white in the petals edges. Leaves are soft and shiny. Flowers appear throughout spring, summer and autumn. Geisha's are popular as shrubs or maintained as small to large standards. Geisha Girl will tolerate light frosts. For best flowering results, plant in full sun. Prune to shape after flowering. Fertilise with a slow release fertiliser after pruning. 3m tall, 2m wide if untrimmed – leaves and fruit are poisonous. 180mm pots, currently approximately 250-300mm tall. Trimmed to encourage bushy growth.
